SSK currently has the following career opportunity in its Business Architecture department. The position offers a remote work model, subject to the department's needs, and requires support from our Swellendam/Mossel Bay and Humansdorp offices.

The Project Management and Change Coordinator is a pivotal role in establishing and coordinating the Project Management Office (PMO) function for all Information & Technology (IT) initiatives. This role focuses exclusively on IT-related initiatives, ensuring consistent & high-quality project delivery, robust governance, and effective change management across the organisation.  The successful candidate will monitor & coordinate project activities, track & report progress, support change initiatives, and ensure stakeholders remain informed and aligned throughout the IT project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain PMO standards, templates, and reporting frameworks specifically for successful IT project monitoring & delivery.
  • Support project managers and teams with project planning, scheduling, tracking, and task follow-ups.
  • Assist with change management activities for IT system implementations, upgrades, and process changes.
  • Consolidate information into PMO reports, dashboards, and presentations for IT and business leadership.
  • Facilitate and enable clear communication between IT teams, business units, and project stakeholders.
  • Manage gaps, risks, or inefficiencies in IT project processes and recommend improvements.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Project Management and/or Change Management certifications advantageous (e.g., CAPM, Prince2 Foundation, Prosci).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in IT Project Coordination, PMO Support, or Change Management in a technology environment.
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Planner, Smartsheet, Qlik, Power BI, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
